2009:In 2009 Minecraft was made by Markus Person it was free to play.
2010:In 2010 Minecraft was stopped being made but then in June markus decided to start work on it again.
2011:In 2011 Minecraft was available for pocket edition even though it was decades behind the java edition.
2012:In 2012 Minecraft was realeased for consoles Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 costing $19:99.
2013:In 2013 Minecraft 2.0 was announced as an April Fools joke but loads of people to this day believe it is coming.
2014:In 2014 Minecraft was sold to Microsoft for 2.5 Billion
2015:In 2015 Minecraft console edition won a BAFTA in the family category.
2016:In 2016 Minecraft Education Edition was announced .
2017:In 2017 Minecraft Bedrock Edition (the bad edition) was realeased as an out of date and buggy cross platform version of Minecraft and luckily the smart people of Sony rejected it oh and also they were going to stop updating the normal console edition of xbox one if it wasnt for a public outrage.
2018:In 2018 the ocean Aquatic update will be coming which will make the oceans a lot more interesting.
